If evry good man's wish came true
Maybe this world wouldn't hafta sing blue
Maybe we could feel like kids again
I miss those times evry now and then

Is there anything right left in this world
We're the land of the free
But evry little boy and girl
Sees the tragedies in this life that be

Can't we be brave anymore?
We're the land of the brave
But evry time we go to war
We make new rules, new laws
That take all that away
Can't you make a way
That the innocent don't hafta pay?

It's any god's right to judge a man
But we do it anyway just because we know we can
Is there a way the innocent can't get canned?
I'm sick and tired of this world and I'm afraid of what they demand

I refuse to sit by and watch my dreams burn away
Their rules take away my few friends even to this day
It mighta been alright if they did somethin
But it's a witch hunt and i donno where to begin

I wish I could fix the things that ain't right
I wish I could change them without a fight

Lady liberty used to stand tall
Now she stands crooked while the weak just fall
She used to take in those
With no place left to go
But is this the sanctuary you can run to
With the shackles on your lives tellin you what you mus' do?

america is also destroying parts of civilizations older than it... we haven't learned from our mistakes yet, which is even sadder... i don't believe that helping involved destroying a culture, a language, or religious customs, which america and its foundi

Unfortunately, the ideals that America was founded upon have slowly crumbled into decay. As long as humanity is driven by avarice and malice, the weak will suffer at the hands of the powerful.

i don't think this is an i hate america poem, more of a somber reflection on what has become of liberty...politicians have abused it, be it america or any other country.

Huh. Almost every country hates America...and America bends over backwards to help those who really need it. Did you know America had Sadaam's back in the beginning when they invaded Iran? People hate superpowers, it comes with the territory.

he's right... it wasn't really an i hate america poem... it was sayin how i hate how things are, no matter where i'm at it's pretty much the same... might be why i don't consider anywhere home anymore

but america started as above all that, and above the petty differences... just stating how much of a sad state the state of the union is in my opinion
