I smelled your sweat in my bed
Your hair so long and grey
I can't believe you did stay
Fifty five years of love and respect
I loved you since the moment i saw you
Since i first saw my eyes in yours
Since this love started its course
When you came to my life and gave it your force
I asked you one day if you wanted to stay
After that i saw a new kind of life
A kind of life where i was no longer tied in chains
For fifty five years i never felt pain again
I love you my dear wife
