tired eyes
impropperly trained
as red veins stand at attention
and sweat accumulates
on the furrowed brow
elbows sink into tables
as tables sink through floors
voices mumble in the back
about nothing
as important
as finding out
whats going on
right now
as in this instance
your reality is altered
and sounds no longer belong
to your ears
just like your voice
doesn't belong to your throat
your mind tells you
things are getting weird
get out while you can
