patches that hide
and egos that engluf
friends that smother
false hopes that cover
a brighter future
a new tomorrow
pants that embodie
a specific thought or smile
metaphors piled on top of it all
only masking who you really are
the struggle to be
conflicts with the struggle to live
akward instances
only rise to the challenge
to fall to the bottom
and shatter you
on the metaphoric shards
of life
that weighed you down
