whenever i have nightmares
its midnight on a cold winter day
im laying sencelessly under layers of covers
dreaming of my father
delivering the grasping blows of "love"
showing me what a real familys like
but this is not my story
my story is real
where mindless words of
mockery and disgust flow from every direction
leaving me to my bitter sweet dreams of
a real family
