These Are Lies
These are lies
lies
lies
that underlie
and undermine
everything
that determine
everything
whether consequential or not
and these highs alike are lies
nothing like November skies
nothing like your misty eyes
THESE ARE LIES
and you know I'm screaming for you
you should hear how my voice meets the ocean
rich, tremolous, and collapsing
knowing you don't hear me
that you can't possibly hear me
(It amazes me that all your words are perfect. But what is even more incredible is that your silences are too.)
