the bruises he left on me (maybe unfinished)

tears run from swollen eyes
the truth unknown is held inside
he crushed my spirit
he scared my heart
he caused me pain
then laughed out loud
yet here i stand
once again
to hide my scars
and lie for him
wont let them know
wont let them see
the bruises he has left on me
