She could see him in the night
She’s running, crying, and wondering why.
Why is he following her? Does he want to fight?
Or does he want to just have her die?

I’m watching and I learn soon enough
That she’s running from her biggest fear.
This girl doesn’t know that this boy plays rough.
But she must have some idea because she sheds a tear.

He’s running faster and faster, he’s catching up.
He knows in his head that he’s being mean.
He knows that she knows that she has messed up,
But she’s wondering why he didn’t stay sober & clean.

She heard a snap and spun around to see
That he had tripped over a branch from a tree.
He was dead with his knife stuck in his neck.
It was an instant death for that particular wreck.

She was traumatized and a mess in her head
But she wanted to be dead.
So she took his knife
And took her own life.

The moral of this tragic tale, you see
Is not to let yourself fail and plea
Because if you do, you could be her…
…the girl who’s life was all just a blur.

I grasp the basic depressing concept, but is the mind so utterly staggered that it makes a decision such as this? It happens all the time sadly enough.
