grass stains
Poetry by James Kulikowski Published on DarkPoetry.com 2005-10-20
standing alone here in this lonely cemetery yard,
surrounded by the screams of pain and suffering,
watching as the sun falls from the crimson sky,
darkness slowly creeping towards me;
as i look around to see nothing
yet the voices call out to me
they are unseen yet they are every where
these creature from hell
drawing closer to my fate
as the darkness falls over me
i weep for one once loved
but now taken from me by her own fear
I unsheathe my dagger looking to the sky
as the light of the crescent moon shimmers on my blade
my love now fades into the ever growing shade of darkness
as i raise my dagger 2 the sky
what once was love now is lost
all purpose is gone
no more reason to go on living this way
i close my eyes
and with a thrust of thy blade it all goes away
a limp body falls to the ground
as thick read blood streams from the wound
and stains the green grass
