the torment of her love
Poetry by James Kulikowski Published on DarkPoetry.com 2005-10-18
Life is forever a torment;
Sweet blackness
In utter ecstasy I wait for your kiss.
Darkness eternal
With blind eyes do you seek?
Waiting for freedom yet knowing you must take it.
O curse of being,
In the nothing I see your bleak smile.
Forever will it stay before me
Taunting and forgiving,
Hating and loving.
Grim plains of life
Release me at last
So I may finally be free
Yet freedom be lost
And I am whole
Though incomplete for the pains of life torment me still
