I am lying in my bed trying to fall asleep,
But all I can do is think about you
And all that happened earlier today.

How we sat on the swing beneath the blanket,
Your hands caressing my body,
And how your body was right next to mine,
Sitting as close as we could get,

And then my mind falls to when we were in my room,
Lying on my bed not really saying anything,
Just lying in silence,
We both know what we want but know it can't happen not today,

Some how we end up outside in the dark,
We walk to the side of my house and stand there talking about everything and anything,
And then you carry me over to the car,
Then we are standing on the side of the movie theatre holding hands and standing close,
Quietly watching the movie,
All of the sudden my mind goes back to the present
And stops going back in the past.

hmmmmm...to be always remembering a past that one can never hope to return to...a feeling which I know well. This is lovely. *Evangel*
