Why must I change the way I am to find love?
Why can’t you accept me for who I am, and not tell me to change?
Please accept me for who I am.
I might not be perfect or flawless
But that is how I want you to see me through your eyes.
Why can’t you love me for my mind and not my body?
Don’t judge me by my body but by my mind
Don’t compare me to the models on TV
Accept my body the way that it is, don’t expect me to change
Why won’t you listen to what I have to say you might like what I am about to say?
Why must you tune me out?
Just for once listen to me and tell me what you think
Don’t yell at me for what I have to say.
I begging you to please just accept me for the way I am and to not make me change.
