She will wear her bones on the outside
Like albino armor
To protect her from the obsidian tips
Of the words
That fly like arrows
Without warning
Out of the mouth of man
Her skin and breasts
Will secrete slippery oil
To protect her from the cling
Of a man's love
Her holes will have grown
Glistening white teeth
To protect her from
The appetites of man
Her heart will have crawled
Into her skull
To live within
The folds of her brain
To protect her
From herself
