To those who speak your language
you are: Shining Star
But there are many such lights in the sky
And as always, I had need for something more
So I called you
What a mother's heart calls her children
As you did for me as well
And now you lay next to me
And the world is whispering your true name
And you are listening
And you whisper back your secret longing
And do not mention me
For you must cast your brilliance
Down from the heavens
For all the children who make wishes
And the sailors who have lost their way
So while I lay sleeping, you ascend
And when I turn to comfort myself
With your warmth and your shape
The night embraces me with cold and foreign arms
And tells me with a chill to my bones
It will be a long time until dawn
