What I would give,
For the feel of your hand
 The caress of your lips.

To fall asleep wrapped in your arms
As the beat of our hearts,
Softly, gentily lulls us to sleep.

The scent of you lingers
 stuck to my pillowcase
The only trace of you left behind.

"The scent of you lingers/stuck to my pillowcase/The only trace of you left behind." Yes, to have something always there to remind you of the love you once lived is, although painful, a beautiful thing as well. Wonderful write. *Evangel*

A scent, the trace of him or her; not the remembered sight or touch, but something real, a part of them that is actually HERE, what a joyous thing! This was loveley. - Michael

...A scent evokes a memory... I think we've all been there. Nicely drafted.

i use to smell that on my pillow too, the trick is to wash it! but this was beautifully, soft, sensual and lonely...relatable...it is no good to wallow in our despair...it can consume us...like it almost did me...lovely write -=ak=-
