When I look into your eyes
I see an immortal being.
When I see you smile,
I feel completeness.
When I hear you laugh,
I feel like I’ve found gold.
When I look at your body,
I see an angel looking back at me.
When I held your body,
I felt in my heart the truth.


When I look inward,
I see a mortal being
When I see my smile,
I feel incompleteness.
When I hear my laughter,
I feel like I’ve found coal.
When I look at my body,
I see a starved demon looking back
When I try to comfort myself,
I feel the lies in my heart.

I’m thinking if we were meant to be
Only because I don’t want another experience
Like the last one…….
