A work inspired by Ghosts Tonight


i.
in the discarded skin of a holy
ghost, i found the whisper of a prayer
lost, before i could find
anything
of me
left to unearth.

ii.
i thought the skin might fit,
that i might come
to some eden.esque fruit.ion
of makeshifting love
and find whatever beast lurked
within me was really
just beauty.
