A man sleeps by the side of the street.
Once in a while someone passing,
throws some change at his feet.

Please sir, could you spare me a dime?

You know I'd like to help you man, but it's a
waste of my time.

Hey earth, it's good to see you again.
I see you've managed to put fourth
a little more rain.

Your green is dying.
Well just wash it away.
You know it's been so long I bet you
don't remember my name.

She turns tricks at a corner hotel.
She's just a stone's throw away from heaven,
living in hell.

Dear John, come back and see me some day.

Because I'll never be too proud
to take your hard earned pay.

Hey earth, it's good to see you again.
I see you've managed to put fourth
a little more rain.

Your sun is dying.
Well just wash it away.
You know I've never really cared to tell
the night from the day.

An old man with one foot in the grave.
He's wishing he had someone to
leave all the money he saved.

A bag lady passing right down the road.

Has nothing but the clothes she's wearing,
and a heart made of gold.

Hey earth, it's good to see you again.
I see you've managed to put fourth
a little more rain.

Your people dying.
Well just wash them away.
And by the time tomorrow comes
we won't remember today.

The years of work on this one seems to have paid off. I really enjoyed this and could damn near hear the music in my head (blame razed in black for not hearing it all the way)

You can't guess how it's like when u see a poem like ths,and feel like it's ur own work!(or you can guess but the impossibility thing makes it more stressed).witnessing the waste..it's always been the same, and it won't change.very depressing..

Veingo, veingo.. This is very nice. Excellent personification of earth.. The nonchalantness of the tone makes it all the more striking.

DAmn, V.... this is deceptively lucid... a narrative in verse, echoing the death of history and the encroaching geocrisis. you expose our moral frailty with epic tone and ballad like refrains... brilliance! *bows deeply before altar of Veingo*
