You weren't there when I threw
The diamond ring against the wall

The letter he'd wrote for me
I never felt so small

I took my chances
And let him go

Why does it feel so wrong
When I know I have to grow

You see, he was the only one
One guy in my life

He's asking me to be
His darling wife

I'm too young
That he doesn't understand

I have life ahead of me
That are already planned

He's about the same
Age as me

But he grew up so quickly
Way before I could see

So where were you lord?
You weren't there when I needed you

I'm too young and lost
I don't know what to do

I had my wings
But I'm falling

So help me god
What is my calling?

*its an old poem, very simple so yea hope yall like it =)*

There is nothing worse then waking up in the morning and knowing whats going to happen.. let alone knowing the next 20 years.. Your calling will come, until then fix your wings and live the spontanious life of a young woman.. enjoy

He's always there, sometimes we just let our daily hurdles block him from sight. Despite the "simple" nature, I felt the ache... thanks for sharing.

hmm...this reminds me of something i read. and it said that sometimes, when we feel that God isn't there, it's because He's trying to make us figure something out...i don't kno how to explain properly..sorry
