Ashes

Black and Heavy

Mixed with water
liquid concrete dreams

Breathe it all in

The filth in the air

Yes, breathe it all in
all of it.

Ashes
sooty powdery

Volcanic ash
fall through the sky....

Cover me up
just like the ash that fell over
pompei.

Like a winter storm

but instead of being cold
and melting when it touches flesh

it burns

holes,
skin,
smell.

Its all black.

Breathe it in

breathe it all in

ashes.

Rain

raining, its always raining

mixed with ashes
black and heavy

breathe it all in

and

drown your soul

in liquid concrete.
