The sick song that they chant with
The evil smiles that corrode their faces
sometimes I just want to cry.

I am balancing on this thin line
and one wrong move can mean my fate,
some people just enjoy seeing others in pain,
and others enjoy making that pain,
causing that sadness, creating that void.

They’ve never had to go without,
nor have they ever been told no,
they must just think that because the
world has been so kind to them,
they can go around pushing everyone down,
laughing as that person spirals downward.

Evil black hearts eat soft pink hearts for dinner
and hearts of stone melt hearts of ice
and some hearts are too far broken
and will never be mended.

The child that sits alone on the bus
she looks out the window lost in her own world,
I bet I know what she has been thinking,
its not that hard to tell if you have been her,
but the rest, just laugh, and carry on,
not knowing that someone else
has feelings other then themselves.

Sometimes I sit by myself, maybe a tear or two
run down my cheek,
as I sit and think to myself about some things,
I look out the window silently,
watching the corn pass by.

"The child that sits alone on the bus she looks out the window lost in her own world" - a line that struck a cord of sorrow somewhere deep inside...I too marvel at how heartless the heartless can be. I wonder if they ever regret it? nice write *alone*

very true and depressing. This is a great work and I think everyone can find oneself in one line of this, or maybe in some more...

"and hearts of stone melt hearts of ice" gods, how true that is...I would know, I fought for a heart of stone. This is gorgeous, love. Absotively fricking gorgeous. ~*Beth*~
