I met a girl the other day
But have never seen her smile -
Nor have I heard her voice so sweet;
Nor gazed into the fathoms of her eyes.

I got to know a girl the other day
Through words that flashed upon a screen.
We spoke across a web of wire;
Our longing reduced to binary.

I fell in love with a girl the other day
And we shared all of our fears.
We danced across a silicon floor
And kissed in a cyber land.

So now we have each other, my mystery girl and I:
And I think it is enough for now to love her from afar.

For never was there a surer place than in her unknown arms,
To protect myself from the world, and all its painful harms.

We still talk, but she told me our relationship was way too painful, so we decided to end it before we got in too deep. Should have seen it coming, i suppose...

weird how we can confide in someone over a Computer screen.. and we tell them our heart and soul, if they ever disapear we beg in our head for them to come back... to talk some more to someone we've never met.. heh life's weird too.. Awesome write! -JiNx

I think "Digital Love" type poems are going to become rather prevalent in the near future... and I hope they're all as good as this was.

Yes, it is. It has always been my fate to encounter barriers in the pursuit of love, however… Well, it jogs the inspiration at least.

Point taken… Most of it is role-playing requiring no responsibility. Feelings, however, are feelings and must be expressed ;)
