""With me poetry has not been a purpose, but a passion; and passions should be held in reverence; they must not, they cannot at will be excited with an eye to the paltry compensations, or the more paltry commendations of man kind."-E.A.P."
"The poet is like this monarch of the clouds
riding the storm above the marksman's range;
exiled on the ground, hooted and jeered,
he cannot walk because of his great wings."-from The Albatross-C.B.
"If you can't be as good or better [than someone], it's not the other persons fault."-Betty Davis
The great thing about poetry, is that it's vagueness leaves room for interpretation. I used to not care about grammar or punctuation (when I was 16 and angst-ridden) but now, I've finally realized how important it can be. So, if you see a spelling mistake, or if something just doesn't make sense, don't be afraid to let me know. I'd really appreciate it, sometimes spell check and a quick read through don't catch everything. Happy writing!
