His tongue lashes out words so fierce
My heart bleeding from where his anger pierced
Here I lay petrified of what he might do
It burns every time he spits the lie " I love you"
Can't fight back, I’m trapped and under his control
Forced again, unwillingly to do what I’m told
His hands search my broken soul as though it's his own
My body cringing, a silent cry to be left alone
He pretends he doesn't feel me backing away
Pulling me against him, forcing me to stay
And again he lies to me, sweetly, drowning me in untruths
Here in his unwelcome presence I lost my innocence and youth
Again I’m sprawled across the cold, hard floor
And soon he will be returning to only abuse me more
Tearstained and shattered, I fruitlessly try and blend into the walls
Giving up once more, I crawl to him when he calls
Pleasing him in hope of being released and finally free
Knowing undeniably he will never let go of me
Shackled to this bitter devotion
Bound to his abusive lust in a form of self mutilation
