Dreams, wishes and promises broken
These are my life's ever lasting token
No dream can ever come true
Wishes never see life through
A promise is worth only the air in your breath
Your life is worth only the pain of your death
Why speak if all you say are lies
Why listen if you refuse to hear my cries
So starlight, star bright
What have you done for me tonight?
You've planted dreams inside my head
Told me that I can create gold from lead
Promised me everything that I need
Told me that I need never bleed
But still blood runs out of my veins
Tears streaming as it rains
What use do I have of dreams?
Wishes and promises just arn't what they seem.
