Just by being me
...it is a crime.
I'm thrown out like the jews
during the holocaust.
"Loitering" ...they rationalize.

Denied by my race,
my home.
They blame westerners
as if it were
a fad.
As if...
I could change it.

So I hide.
We. hide...
Showing this false image

to be accepted?
to stay alive?

Yet I gaze into that reflection.
Mocking myself.
Lieing to and about myself.
on this stage of deceit
draining my soul.

Honesty, lowering me to
the equality of a beast.
Beaten
caged
ridiculed...
For being myself.
For being...
       gay.

I wrote a piece that said misery is the road to happiness, well, sorrow is often the road to change. It is a terrible thing that it is easier to "pass a camel through the eye of a needle" than merely change the minds of people.

Yeah sweetie, they still burn witches in Kenya too...and homosexuality is outlawed, which for a third world country doesn't surprise me. Very empathetic.
