Random Poetry

This place...of calm and peaceful ground.
A haven, now my home.

So long I've lingered here. Young at first.
Eager to share and take in from others.

But if you take a step back,
look how we have become. My fellow poets...

Poetry. For me a form of escape at times.
I couldn't keep a journal for a time...
so I hid
my words through verse. Such a delicate
piece of my soul.

...As in yours. I read of your lives.
Of passion. Of hate.
Remorse and envy.

"I long for him...so close across that lab bench."...
the beautiful desire from those
words.

Perhaps that familiar alley... touches.
Enlivens your soul with memories
and emotion.

But, every feeling...every word.
So precious. So full of wonder
because you care of it enough
to put it in the most exquisite form.

...and i see you. so kind.
you welcome everyone in. everyone. :)

But even as we are so different
in a place such as this
we are as one living.
breathing. entity.

For the poet who sits in class
and writes his poems. So excited
as he posts his first one. Checking
for comments.

As we did. As we do.
I can admit every comment
I see brings a smile to this face.

Someone read my work. My most
intimate, sacred thoughts that, save
this site are shared with none.
Or a slight few.
...And they liked it! They understood
how I felt. Raw emotion killing
me like a ton of bricks.

Perhaps this seems random.
To me it does a bit.
But on this morning I just
want to say
truely I appreciate you.

All of you.

I enjoy reading each work
for poetry is my passion.
My life.
Thank you for sharing
yours with me.

Reading this, I feel I've missed so much. I kept everything I've ever thought on paper to myself or the shredder, for fear of others scolding opinions or *insert depricating self loathing comment here". This just instills the idea in me that no matter the words, the thoughts, the rhythmic or stoic stanzas to the spoken word insanity, it will always be beautiful as it's always from the heart, from everyone, forever. And reading this, you've just filled my day with an unexpected joy I didn't count when I woke up this morning. How can you thank someone when a Thank You, isn't enough? For me, this day, to you, it isn't, but thank you.

Aww... I have to say, these exact thoughts were streaming through my mind very recently. I've only very recently found sanctity here, but now that I'm back, it feels like home again. It's always nice to see others who appreciate it too. And the fact that you quoted me is amazing. I'm honored and now I can't stop smiling. This made my night. Wonderful.

I worded that very strangely... all of it. But i think you get the point. And i mean what i tried to say.

word up. right back at you too. i love it when i see someone remember and acknowledge the fact that this is made of everyone and not just the cliques. sometimes i think appreciation gets pushed aside for those not "exalted" here. this is one way to give it to the deserving though. if they haven't been discouraged enough not to be able to find this at least that is. i'm rambling. great piece.
