Did you ever feel like
You mean nothing to everyone?
Everyday I feel unnoticed and used
Disliked and abused
The harsh reality is a slap in the face
It’s just like a blow
Delivered from a foe
Masquerading as a friend
And every fiber head to toe
Feels hate from within
The shadows come around and drop
The pertinence, the hate, the evil,
But in the end they need me
They beg of my help
The demons feed off of me
My fear, my love
My patience and dedication
They need me to live
As a vampire craves
The liquid that sustains us

I concur with Snake. To love someone you must open to them, which gives them the power to heal you or feed on your spirit.
