i am tired of this
long and tedious process
of trying to find
the man of my dreams

he's not here
he's hiding in my dreams
and does not wish to appear

but he is always leaking through the ink in my pen
and the tear in my eye and the curling smoke of my cigarette

I know exactly how you feel... aside from the cigarette part. The man of our dreams does not exist in reality, but as long we continue to write and continue to dream, he will become more and more real to us. Nice work.
