The bell goes off and
Everyone finds a seat
Safe for the few people left
Standing on their poor tired feet.

We all await
the long ride home

Day in, day out
Metro, boulot, do-do
That's how it always goes.

We wonder how to make it different,
How to change?
But how would we look if the world
Was upside down and we all still walked
On our feet?

If we were born and trained that way
We'd all be the same,
And there would be no change
in the everyday ratrace of
Metro, boulot, do-do.
