He's sitting on the metro, just waiting for time to fly
And he looks over his shoulder, in hopes to catch her eye

They were such a perfect team but
He remembers a time not too long ago,
when his life was torn at the seam.

She was his shoulder to cry on, his princess, his child fair.
She looks so different to him now; maybe she cut her hair?

And he tries to speak her name, he tries to touch her heart
But things feel so much different now, since they have been apart.

So he sits upon the metro
And doesn't catch her eye.
Because she doesn't hold his heart anymore
Don't let her see him cry.

perfectly capture the unquantifiable magical aspects of romance that add a fairytale quality to normal life...which, when gone, bring things back into the realm of reality...no, she's just a woman now... : ) Nice piece! Ciao, T/S
