(I sat down and wrote this at 5:00 AM after having the reoccurring dream. Please let me know if anyone else shares this problem.)

------------------------------------
Imagine

Fear unescaped
Children raped
To suffocate
The world’s end

Your love stops
The bodies burn
Unsavory addictions
Losing friendships
------------------------------------

How would you feel if you believed death was behind every door
To have your heart pump quick and short
A cold acidic hand wearing a black glove grabbing each breath
To shiver in complete fear of dead silence

How would you feel if you had to run for your life every night
To have collective demons destroy your dreams
Afraid to think of what will happen if you continue to sleep
To be alone and find only death around you

It’s 5:00 AM and I have no one
Every sound eats at my body
The phone starts ringing endlessly
My greatest fears are hanging over me

Waiting to hear a nearby scream
It is safe to move or to sleep
The phone stopped ringing endlessly
The tears run down my pale cheeks

Eyes burning and growing so heavy
No choice but falling again
These dreams aggress so endlessly
How would you feel if you believed death was behind every door
