Goodbye, Goodnight

Goodbye and goodnight
I’ll be your darkness, you be my light
In nature so different but
Together we’ll balance out alright

Even though I drag you down
You will always lift me up
Enter shadow, dispel sound
I can’t help but chase you out again

Goodbye and goodnight
You be my darkness, I’ll be your light
It makes no difference because
Tomorrow will always change tonight

When we miss each other
I will come and find you again
Lasting hopes circle another
Always reaching around the bend

Will we ever find a moment to hold in unison
Will there ever be a brighter star than this
Can we continue display of this routine
You’ll find us there in every dream
Just when you thought that we couldn’t co-exist
