The Glass Mirage

(Another piece written in hopes of becoming possible song lyrics.)

Wipe away
Memories break the silence
Amidst the stage
Walking through timid violence
Mirrored rage
Reflections glare far too bright
Another day
The same mirage at night

They say watch the world
I can’t
The thoughts mechanical

They say everything’s all right
I can’t
Make believe it so

They will bleed into destruction
I’ll find
The way out this time

Look away as I’m slowly erased

Wash away
The glass heart immaculate
Still a slave
To the past endearing kismet
Nothing stays
A winter snow far too bright
Another day
The same mirage at night
