Can you see in color is the lens burnt into shades
Everything is clear now, for what reason is it grey
The tears superficial as a youth there were no pains
Now the blood is real too much to wipe away
I’ve waited.. and I know.. everything is changing.. slowly
I’ve waited.. and now I defy.
There went the wind crashing by
Stealing the sparkle from your eye
I watched the ghostly homicide
Can you hear the sirens approaching the gates
Running out the back door my only escape
Spectators may watch but never play
I’ve waited.. and I know.. everything is changing.. today
I’ve waited.. and now I defy.
There went the wind crashing by
Stealing the sparkle from your eye
I watched the ghostly homicide
You tore at my innocence
You laughed in consequence
There is nothing left to say
You tore at my innocence
You laughed in consequence
Looks like it’s your turn to pay
There went the wind crashing by
Stealing the sparkle from your eye
I watched the ghostly homicide
Even if everything ends up ok
Their be a time for us to pray
And I will never be the same
