Queen of shadows, Queen of dark
No compassion in her heart
Pitch black eyes, cold as stone
Ever in sorrow, ever alone
She lies in wait, silently
To attack, strong and violently
Her minions cold, they sold their souls
Now their hearts, black as coals
Glow beneath the embers bright
Of her throne in the night
They laugh shrill, banshee screams
As the blood flows in streams
Queen of day, Queen of light
Queen of shadows she does fight
With somber eyes of pale white-blue
She watched as her enemy grew
No fear had she of the shrieks
Or the darkness of which she speaks
Her warriors strong, with pallid wings
Fight with bravery fit for kings
They beam a bright, warming glow
That tells the tales of long ago
Their battle-calls are filled with might
Challenging the creatures of the night
It began with a breath-taking sight
The flames of war did then ignite
The anger, the hatred, the love of night
Against the beams of burning light
The horns sounded, the weapons clashed
The rain came down as lightning flashed
All across the plain, souls are lost
War is real and lives are the cost
Light and dark, eternal resistance
Always fighting, across all distance
Never wining, nor ever losing
Ever stronger, ever defusing
What now, you ask? Will it end?
No, it won’t, but fear not my friend
For within all darkness there is light
With in all day there is night….
