Walking alone, the pale moonlight on my skin.
I wonder and think the things that could have been.
This path I wander is cold and long.
The snow gently falling, as I walk alone.

I would walk alone,
Feeling the cold inside.
Only to hear your voice,
Echoing through the night

Here I see the moon, in all her cold beauty.
The shadows she casts are but remnants,
Dark echoes of the world under the sun.
She is quietly calling, as I walk alone.

I would walk alone,
Feeling the cold inside.
Only to hear your voice,
Echoing through the night.

Within the shadows I make my home.
As I embrace the darkness that most over look.
For with out darkness, there cannot be light.
I find the chill enthralling, as I walk alone.

I would walk alone,
Feeling the cold inside.
Only to hear your voice,
Echoing through the night.

In the silence, your voice is cool and harsh.
It cuts my soul as the icy wind slits my skin
It whispers quite, sullen words that ring in my ears
It is all I can recall, as I walk alone.

The moonlight is a cold comfort on nights when all you long for is a whisper of words from another's soul...excellent piece. ~*Beth*~

This was beautiful. The title fit. When I was drawn to this once I read the title. I love Japanese and the way you blended that with the title and the actual poem was wonderful.

I find Japanese a beautiful language. I liked this piece. It was cold and desolate and achingly lovely.
