Watching from a distance
Darting through the trees
Following your footsteps
Going where you lead

Friendship is a hindrance,
Getting in your way.
You never were a child,
never learned to play.

Everything is nothing;
nothing makes you cry.
Tears would show your weakness;
Weakness means you die.

Death before surrender,
that's your only law.
Every other’s weaknesses
That is all you saw.

Walking through the darkness,
you think you're alone.
Silently you cry for
Sins you can't condone.

Everything is nothing;
nothing makes you cry.
Tears would show your weakness;
Weakness means you die.

I'll protect you always,
when your tortured soul
Threatens to destroy you
from the pain it holds.

I will always follow
everywhere you go.
It's because I love you,
and of that you shall never know.

Everything is nothing;
nothing makes you cry.
Tears would show your weakness;
Weakness means you die.

Wow...I think your rhyme scheme here is even more gorgeous than it's ever been. To love from afar, knowing you hold everything and nothing at the same instant, wanting to feel so much and saying so little. This is beautiful. ~*Beth*~
