Taking a shower..
To wash everything away..

I stand under the water,
Hands over eyes that have gone dark,
Exhale into the steam around my face..

The water washes away my sin,
But its not brown, red, or yellow.
Black and greys show true,

Because I'm washing away the memories of me and you.

I shave (yes you know me all too well),
Because I never would for you,
I've got plans tonight,
To wear a mini-skirt,
and meet new boys,
To shove my face into the dirt..

Wash, Rinse, Repeat.

Somehow the steam carries with it all hope.
The pain is there, but i'm going to cope.
Your lies were there, I knew all along.
This will be another sad, sad, Song.
Sing to me..because I hum in the shower.

Last night my addiction shone through,
And I finally took my mind off of you.
Your not my world, You never were.

Wash, Rinse, Repeat..

I stand in the shower, idle..
For a long time..
The heat and steam rising off of my body.
Until the heat runs out..

Everything warm in life turns [ice] Cold.

Somehow the steam carries with it all hope.
The pain is there, but i've got to find a way to cope.
Your lies were there, I knew all along.
This will be another sad, sad, Song.
Sing to me..because I always hum in the shower.

The water is cold and fierce..
I let it sink into me,
Until I am numb..
I can feel it peirce..
So deep..
I still try to Hum,
Through chattering teeth.

I step out of the shower,
With my plans and thoughts set out..
I sit on the egde of my bed,
Nude ..clinging to my towel.
Not knowing what to do..

I'll face the world anew..
Chin out I walk with no pout,
I'm over it, and fuck you too.

Everything warm in life turns [ice] Cold.

this is so lonely, like standing on a street corner in the dark when it's 10 degrees outside, and no one ever comes to get you.

such pain and tragady felt in one so young and expressed with such talent and wisedom, Your childhood should have been longer. The poem was beautiful. (as usual)

Oh my gosh...once again, you have stolen my heart from my chest and dissected it upon a metal table...this was wonderfully tragic...you amaze me. *Evangel*
