As I lay here, wide awake
I pray the land my life to take
Dully lit eyes, staring straight
Into the dark oblivion of death.
A sight I've longed for since my birth.
And all the world's dry cries
Brings fear to their eyes,
And I sit here as space flies by.
Pulses racing, random pacings,
All with the emotionless face of pain.
Laced with bittersweet memories of happier days.
Another year, another heart,
As time rips all me apart.
A faceless man, enchanting death,
Take my life, stop my breath.
Smiling as I fall
From this hallowed hall of mourning,
While new evils are bourne...again.
Rising up to new extremes,
Until nothing is as it seems,
While the noir glint in their eyes gleam,
Saying, "This all must be a dream."
Nothing more than a mere nightmare.
Just a thought, not really there.
