As I lay here by my lonesome
I ask myself why I was so dumb
I must be blind to not have seen it
So what I deserve is what I'll get

An eternity of heartbreak
An eternity of pain
An eternity of loneliness
Which will sure drive me insane

He never should have got to me
I never should have cared
All the lies he spoke to me
All the weaknesses he bared

I was supposed to go away
But my heart told me otherwise
So I hesitated for just a moment
And I met my demise

For eternity I'll suffer
For the mistakes that I have made
Just because I fell in love
Doesn't mean I should have stayed.

I know this feeling all too well, stingingly beautiful write. I felt this one as it hit home.
