to rub in the wound,
to live in the blue,
to make ashes taste like food,
and to scratch the sand
on the ocean
floor

would you kiss me again with your sea lips?
i will drink deep
of the the darkness beneath the waters
a wet dry clinging to the skin
lines the angels footprints that lead away from Sodom
like pox scars...

the fires died long ago,
but brimstone and hell still lingers at the touch;
Lots' poor wife...
even with the warning i would look back
one. more. time.
...just to be a pillar of something

you bring a unique perspective, and a deeply mystic expression.. the salt shimmers, speckled everywhere.. "be a pillar of something" speaks so loudly of the purpose left to find, of wanting to fit into yourself.. marvelous. Thank you for being. & here.

i love pieces that are in response to Bible stories, helps me come to terms that were not perfect, but poetry helps us lotion our scars.
