Someday
Your voice will sing freely
Forgetting to grasp
At the broken cords
And splinters
Of yesterday's playground
Your fingers will clench
And splay
In the bliss
Of the forgotten
Wrapped in old newspaper clippings
And dew
Hold close
Your embalming
When it is all you've known
Until you see
That you're still alive and almost well
Your will, inside it's broken cast
And your freedom, clinging to the stars
Will survive the storm
As soon as you decide
To leave the eye
And i will wait
But not too long
For i have my own playgrounds to forget
Tomorrows to unwrap
Coffins to break
And hurricanes to blow
And i will find my own door
And my own
unbroken
key
