While flashes of gods brilliance
Streak the still black sky
Nature’s intrusive spirits
Invade or very consciousness
As the once bright night
Slowly fades away

We find no comfort
Within the confines of
The very places we dwell
Anxiety grips us,
Indecision grows,
As the wind howls and
Branches of electrical light
Sizzles the rainy horizon

As quickly as it begins
The din of nature’s rage
Is silenced,
And only the echoes
Of spring rains linger
As we bask in the splendor
Of this glorious event

Our hearts beat again,
Slowly existing only
To bear witness to the
Unearthly might,
That controls our very
Existence

"As the wind howls and /Branches of electrical light/ Sizzles the rainy horizon" beauitful.. I can feel the energy as if it were happening right overhead! And the imagery! Ah, this is true art, Mother nature. --Kaosu

"The din of nature's rage/Is silenced" I agree with Col, this is brilliant. The imagery you've placed upon each word sent ripples across my eyelids as the scene unfolded before them in my mind. Wonderful. ~*Beth*~
