The noises began,
Softly at first
Building in intensity
As I fall further into
This bizarre audio chimera
What is true to me?
Becomes horizontal snow
The static signal
Of which I am controlled
Is replaced with a mindless droning
Taking me further away
From the clarity of ideas I once recognized
To this thunderous onslaught
A disorienting spin has begun
Thrown back and forth
Temples pounding with
Illicit sensation
An explosion of a brilliant prism of light
The walls inside tumble down
Slowly awakened and isolated
A numbness still tingling,
Trying feebly to pull myself from
The wreckage of my mind,
This daily occurrence
Lasting longer than that previous
I grow too weak to scream
And soon I will lose myself
Ceasing to be
