It’s finally happened,
No more waiting,
No more speculation,
The game is over,
My breath gone away and
What was left of my life
Lies face down and motionless

Could it have been different?
Will I be remembered?
Am I doomed to relive the
Madness that plagued me while I lived
In the shadows of my afterlife?
Or will I find equanimity?

My spirit floats above
The now lifeless hull that was me,
I am free of my bonds,
No longer chained to sadness,
The darkness that masked my
Consciousness has lifted
Replaced by bright and glorious
Lights from the heavens,
I am surrounded

Peace washes over me
As I ascend out of the
Cold darkness of the night,
My soul filled with
Wondrous music,
The pain melts away
I am finally safe

the soft lilt of this effects like a ocean wave cleansing the beach of the touch of earthly sin; your spiritual poetry is so angst-free compared to the burl of everyday life; I love that
