The emerald green waves
Crash against the calm
Of the shoreline
A swirling breeze
Sweeps back the branches
Of the virtually leafless Trees,
Sending the last of autumns colors
Gently to the grassy earth
Below
The clear of the blue skies
Darken, as the looming clouds
Veil the sun, forming the shadows
That will envelop all within its grasp
Finally, the rain begins to fall
Bathing us in sound
From the very giver of life
All signs of life,
Seem to dissipate
In the thick morning mist
The serenity of our existence
Is embodied by the tranquility
Of the trees
Majestic and ancient they stand alone
One against extinction
Little by little
The rays of the sun
Filter through the clouds
Erasing the obscurity
Bringing onward the prospect
Of everlasting salvation
