The eyes close
While we melt into
Our imaginations

Lets set sail
For the shores
Of freedom,
Embrace this new
Feeling that overtakes
Us, while we Breathe
In its unique ambiance

We long to remove ourselves
From the taxing stresses
Of the lives we lead,
Longing for a sanctuary
To surrender to

The scent of the salted air,
The cries from the children
Of these waters,
Demand our curiosity
While we stare mindlessly
Into a sapphire oblivion,
Our troubles drift away
As our consciousness and dreams
Become one

A splash of wet inspiration
Returns us from this fascination,
While the vehicle of our passage
Rocks and sways in the grasp
Of gentle waves,
All to soon the very threads
That tied our souls to this dream,
Unravel, letting us fall
Like the anchor into the depths

Surrendering to emotions,
We ponder our destinations,
Hoping to find freedom
As morning comes

Reminds me of songs by Led Zeppelin, and Styx. This was a great example of sensory, and imagery done very well. It was cool, and crisp, and at points, I could almost smell salt in the air. Write on.
