Please don’t look away
The pain is never gone
Just lying dormant, out of view
Smile, and mask it all
No one can ever know
That you are fading
Alive, but losing yourself

Days are born and pass
Yet life stands idle in your mind
The color is gone
Replaced only by 2 dimensional black and white
Monotone thoughts
You drift, further and further away

Surrounded by the silent dark
Befriended by malevolent thoughts
The door to salvation
Disappears from view
As the waters of despair
Overtake you
Drowning in the nothingness
That you once called life

Your cries ignored and
The screams in your head
Light dims, while darkness
Claims another
