When I spy the distant horizon lights
I remember…
When I smell the sweet fragrance of yesterdays
I remember…
When I hear the whisper upon the glassy water
I remember…

Each nerve tingles
When my mind places me here
With you, with it, with everything
Returning,
Childhood memories
Though never forgotten
Yet somehow misplaced
These things make me whole again

The winds of my past
Streak through me
Clinging to every fabric
Of my consciousness
Straining the limits
Of my inflated dreamscape
Filling me with the vibrations of
People, places and things
That created the essence
Of my happiness

When I take my final breath
I will remember…
When that last vision fades
I will remember…
When the sounds are no more
I will remember, I will always remember

Goodness that was like seeing an ocean tide for the first time, or smelling of one's first rose. Truly beautiful! You're amazing JP, as is this! Julia~

a beautiful moment to which a sublimation becomes the core transition from the actual to the spiritual...eloquent and erudite without the flowery or abundant language exploits...excellent no less - Col.
